So my registration at Fontys is 100% complete. I got the scholarship for 2 years of college tuition today. So basically there is no way back There are four weeks left of my summer break, and four weeks left to decide which speciality I want to do. I’m still not sure. There are a couple of options (5) whitin the MSEN course where in the end you can register yourself as a certified proffesional for that specific study. Of course people who know me, know I want to do at least 3

So here is my new list, including study units: (note: I need to finish at least 10 study units, doens’t matter which ones to get the MSEN Degree)

1) Behavior specialist

• SEO1 Socio-emotional development and mental model of the teacher
• SEO2 Prevention: preventing problem behavior
• SEO3 Watching Behavior: look, explaining and understanding
• OGC2 Solution conversations
• HGW1  Action-oriented development
• 5 other Units. At least one aimed at school / policy, a focus on coaching / supervising theprofessional context and a ’specific target students “.

2) Internal supervisor

• VER1 Change processes
• BOO1 Policy and Organization of education
• LGV1 Supporting school development
• ZGS1 Care Structures
• COM1 Communication with colleagues
• OGC1  Introduction to a solution-based work environment
• OGC2 Solution conversations
• OGC3 Solution-based work with colleagues

3) Autism specialist

• AUT1 Imaging autism
• AUT2 Cognition and understanding of autism
• AUT3 Communication and Autism
• AUT4 Social behavior and autism
• AUT5 Interviewing students with autism

So here you see there is some overlapse, and with good combining I can finish at least two

Vanmorgen heb ik me ingeschreven voor de Master Special Educational Needs. Ik ga vanaf september 2011 deze master opleiding in deeltijd volgen aan de Fontys University. Ik wil me binnen deze studie in ieder geval gaan specialiseren op het gebied van autisme begeleiding van leerlingen. Hiervoor ga ik de volgende keuzemodules volgen:

• Beeldvorming autisme
• Cognitie en leren begrijpen van autisme
• Communicatie en autisme
• Sociaal gedrag en autisme
• Gespreksvoering met leerlingen met autisme

Dan mag ik nog 5 keuzemodules kiezen, en daar begint de twijfel.
